I was once approached by speaker dudes..... just brushed them off. didn't realize it was a scam.
The guy pulled up and asked me "do you need speakers for your house?"
I made him repeat himself three times, until I understood, and then replied, "what, do I look like the fucking government or something?" and walked off

Yeah this was actually a good show.
My friend got scammed by some of those speaker guys a few years ago. We actually used the speakers and they sounded awesome though, and he still has them, so maybe it wasn't so bad.
Funny shit though, cuz it was the EXACT same scenario. They drove up in a van and pretty much said verbatim what Barry was talking about.
